Martine N. Fournier Joins The Stanford Who's Who Community

Stanford Who's Who proudly welcomes Martine N. Fournier to the distinguished ranks of leading professionals as a result of her exceptional effort in the community.

OSHAWA, ON, CANADA, November 13, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who proudly welcomes Martine N. Fournier to the distinguished ranks of leading professionals as a result of her exceptional effort in the community. As Labour Community Services Manager with United Way of the Durham Region, as well as throughout her phenomenal professional career, Martine has routinely demonstrated the passion, vision and perseverance necessary to be considered among the best.

The United Way of the Durham Region relies on more than 1,000 volunteers and many tens of thousands of donors to help raise funds for the agencies in the community that provide a critical service. This allows them to use more resources towards programming as opposed to fundraising.

Martine provides education on various topics, such as Harassment and Bullying, Mental Health, Work/Life Balance, and Communication Skills. The Mental Health Awareness program helps to de-stigmatize mental illness. She facilitates a course that educates people on running their own Employee Assistance Program utilizing services within the community that can be provided for free to minimal cost. Martine also assists in the Fundraising Campaign and works on Labor projects. She serves as Vice President of the Durham Regional Labour Council and is a member of the COPE Union.

Along with a founding committee, Martine created a program called Carlleen's Hope, which is a peer to peer program for those caring for a loved one living with mental illness. This is a confidential place where people can share their experiences with people going through similar circumstances. Carlleen's Hope also offers a wealth of information on various mental illnesses as well as coping methods.
