Lise M. Youngblade, Ph.D., Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Dr. Lise M. Youngblade conducts research on child and adolescent socio-emotional development
FORT COLLINS, CO, August 30, 2010 /Coaching - Mentoring PR News/ -- Dr. Lise M. Youngblade, Professor and Head of the Department at Colorado State University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.
With 20 years of professional experience, Dr. Youngblade attributes her success to her good work ethic. Her responsibilities at Colorado State University include overseeing undergraduate programs for 700 students and graduate programs for 40 students, and supervising 14 full-time faculty members and numerous part-time adjunct professors. She also manages administrative functions including budgets, donor outreach, curriculum and department portfolio, and conducts research on child and adolescent socio-emotional development.
In addition to having over 50 peer review publications, Dr. Youngblade has co-authored a book on maternal employment and children's well being. She reviews grants for the National Institutes of Health, sits on the editorial board for the Journal of Developmental Psychology, and is a member of the Society for Research in Child Development, the Society for Research on Adolescence, the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine, the American Psychological Association, and the American Public Health Association.
Dr. Youngblade received a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies in 1990, and a Master's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies in 1986, from The Pennsylvania State University. In 1984, she received a Bachelor of Psychology, with Honors, from the University of Oregon.
