Mary Rennebohm Honored as Professional of the Year in Education & School Counseling

"Life is a journey, not a destination," notes Mary Rennebohm, international counselor and teacher

    DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, April 19, 2010 /Coaching - Mentoring PR News/ -- Mary Rennebohm, International School Counselor for the Elementary Division of Universal American School, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Education & School Counseling. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

So reads the philosophy of Mary Rennebohm, one that she has committed herself to realizing in both her personal and professional lives. In the last 30 years, Ms. Rennebohm has traveled to 43 countries and taught in Germany, Austria, Singapore, Dubai and the Netherlands. She is a published authority on international educational programming, cross-cultural communication and counseling.

Today, she thrives in her fifth year as International School Counselor for the Elementary Division of Universal American School in Dubai. Author of "Counseling Abroad: Using Your Skills in the World," she works with children of over 70 different nationalities at the Universal American School in Dubai. She helps them deal with transitional issues and cultural adjustments, plans the International Baccalaureate curriculum, teaches students from kindergarten through the 12th grade and assesses academic performance. She also leads parent workshops, group workshops and orientation. Ms. Rennebohm is distinguished for her commitment to positive change and for her excellent counseling skills.

Ms. Rennebohm holds a master of science in counseling from Western Oregon University, a bachelor of arts in education, concentrating in physical education, from Pacific Lutheran University and a standard certificate in education from Oregon State University.
