The Orlow Law Firm Represents Sexually Abused Child

Prominent victims' rights attorney Adam Orlow discusses lawsuit with media.

August 13, 2010 /Coaching - Mentoring PR News/ -- Victims' rights attorney Adam Orlow of The Orlow Firm of Flushing, New York, is representing a 14-year-old middle school student in a lawsuit against the student's former teacher.

Former teacher Melissa Weber received 10 years of probation after admitting to having sex with the child in Middle School/Intermediate School 8 in Queens last year. The suit seeks unspecified damages from Weber and the New York City Department of Education.

Orlow told the New York Daily News that "I know a lot of people think it's cool for a boy to sleep with his teacher. But the bottom line is that he's going to realize, 'I was used and I was abused'."

For over a dozen years, Orlow has been a practicing civil rights and New York personal injury lawyer for plaintiffs. He graduated from Yeshiva University's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1998 and is a member of the Queens County Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and Brandeis Bar Association.

"It's our duty to ensure that the rights of children to be free from sexual predation are protected and upheld," Orlow said.

The Orlow Firm was established in 1981 by Adam Orlow's father, Steven Orlow. A former Assistant District Attorney in Kings County, New York and Counsel to the county executive of Queens County, Steven Orlow was elected president of the Queens County Bar Association in 2008.
