Community Leader Serves Her Way Into Stanford Who's Who

Stanford Who's Who recognizes Carolyn O. Kennedy for the phenomenal work she has done in the area of Community Services and Charity.

    WASHINGTON, DC, December 16, 2009 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who recognizes Carolyn O. Kennedy for the phenomenal work she has done in the area of Community Services and Charity. As Executive Director of the Brotherhood and Sisterhood International, she has invariably displayed extreme dedication to the well-being of others in need. Overall she has 30 years of service in the field.

The Brotherhood and Sisterhood International was developed in 1989 as a community service organization designed to promote mankind and develop social services to help those in need with an emphasis on families and children. Among the areas of assistance they offer are Family Support Services, Community Supported Living Arrangements, Behavioral Support Services, Transportation and Individual Support Services.

The organization is dedicated to fostering the cultural, social and educational development of vulnerable youth, adults and families by initiating projects geared toward their development. They aim to nurture and support these people in need toward self-worth, dignity, stability and unity through advocacy, outreach, prevention and treatment services.

Kennedy is involved with the management and development of the organization as well as being active in community outreach.

Carolyn earned a Master's Degree in Social Work Management and Administration at Howard University. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Maryland Non-Profit Association.
