Elaine Aguirre Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Elaine Aguirre became involved in her profession because she has a son with autism
BOCA RATON, FL, September 7, 2009 /Coaching - Mentoring PR News/ -- Elaine Aguirre, Student at Nova Southeastern University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence.
Mrs. Aguirre began her career working as a camp counselor at a special needs camp and fell in love with special education. She then worked as a special education teacher at Odyssey Middle School and provided instruction for students with severely low functioning autism. As a teacher, she helped her students develop functional communication skills, age appropriate social skills, taught them functional academics, and daily living skills. Mrs. Aguirre is currently studying Advanced Applied Behavior Analysis at Nova Southeastern University and is pursuing her board certification in Applied Behavior Analysis. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Exceptional Student Education and was on the National Dean's List 2004/2005, 2005/2006, 2006/2007 academic years.
