Robert T. 'Bo' Myers Honored for Excellence in Athletic Coaching and Instruction

Robert T. 'Bo' Myers trained 87 National Junior College Athletic Association All American Teams

    Hagerstown, PA, August 31, 2009 /Coaching - Mentoring PR News/ -- Robert T. 'Bo' Myers, , Director of Hagerstown Community College's Athletics and Leisure Studies Department, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in athletic coaching and instruction.

Robert T. 'Bo' Myers has spent the past 12 years teaching health, physical education and leisure studies to students at Hagerstown Community College. He is also an accomplished coach who successfully trained 87 National Junior College Athletic Association All American Teams and seven NJCAA National Champions. Mr. Myers' interest in athletics extends back to the time he spent as a teacher and coach at Williamsport High School in Maryland after serving his country as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 to 1979 (active duty 1971 to 1974).

Mr. Myers received his Master of Science in Sports Medicine from the United States Sports Academy and his Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Pepperdine University. He is a member of USA Track & Field and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. A recipient of an award from the track and field rules committee of the National Federation of State High School Associations, Mr. Myers was recently named to the International Faculty for the United States Sports Academy and will be teaching overseas in Thailand. He was also recently appointed to the National Federation of High School's Track and Field Committee.
