Kristine E. McGee, M.Ed. Honored by Cambridge Who's Who

Kristine E. McGee has a passion for education and wants every child to be a successful reader

    HAGERSTOWN, MD, August 10, 2009 /Coaching - Mentoring PR News/ -- Kristine E. McGee, Teacher for the Washington County Board of Education and Adjunct Professor at Frostburg University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

In her roles as a teacher for the Washington County Board of Education and adjunct professor at Frostburg University, Ms. McGee is responsible for teaching reading for kindergarten through fifth-grade students and teaching education courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Previously, she worked for the state for four years developing the social studies curriculum as well as the state assessment. Ms. McGee wanted to be a teacher since childhood and attributes her success to hard work, dedication and to the support she receives from her family.

Currently pursuing her Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Reading at West Virginia University, Ms. McGee received her Master in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Frostburg State University in 1998 and her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Towson State University in 1990. She is a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and the International Reading Association. In 2000, she was named Washington County Teacher of the Year. Ms. McGee hopes to work full-time for the university and continue work with Title I schools across the county.
