Dorothy J. Ciani Honed her Teaching Skills in Military Schools
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, August 24, 2009 /Coaching - Mentoring PR News/ -- Dorothy J. Ciani, a Substitute Teacher for Colorado Springs School District 11, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.
Ms. Ciani, who boasts 27 years of experience in the education field, is respected by her peers for her social studies instruction skills. Currently in semi-retirement, she lends her talents to Colorado Springs School District 11, where she works as a substitute teacher for elementary, junior high and high schools, teaches students in first through sixth grades, and works with older students. A much-traveled Army and Air Force Exchange Service wife, Ms. Ciani honed her teaching skills primarily in military schools. She attributes her success to the enjoyment she gets working with children.
Ms. Ciani received her Bachelor of Arts from the Univesity of the Philippines. She also studied for two years at Eastern Michigan University and attended various other American universities, earning a combined total of 40 extra credits. She volunteers regularly at her local church, Holy Cross Lutheran, the Lutheran Hour Ministries, World Vision, and Child Evangelism Fellowship. She is a former representative of the Parent Teacher Association for each of the schools at which she previously taught.
