Sherry Felice Lincoln Named to Exclusive Membership Organization

Sherry Felice Lincoln has 20 Years of Experience in Education

    SYLMAR, CA, July 20th, 2009 /Coaching - Mentoring PR News/ -- Sherry Felice Lincoln, Substitute Teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership, and excellence in all areas of elementary education.

With 20 years as an educator, Mrs. Lincoln has extensive experience teaching all pre-kindergarten through fifth grade subjects. She has been teaching for the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) since 1992. An expert in elementary science, cooking, and stitchery, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Home Arts at California State University, Northridge (C.S.U.N.). Since then, Mrs. Lincoln has completed more than 500 unit hours in elementary science subjects.

Mrs. Lincoln has always been involved with crafts and teaching children. In addition, Mrs. Lincoln participates in Girl Scouts of the USA and Boy Scouts of America activities, and has served on numerous local Girl Scout supervisory committee boards. For ten years, Mrs. Lincoln worked with Parents Without Partners, emphasizing childrens' and family activities, and serving on two chapter boards. Mrs. Lincoln also assists in the gift shop and kitchen of her temple. Another group Mrs. Lincoln has worked with is Relay for Life, a cancer awareness organization. 1n the 1980's, Mrs. Lincoln served on several Parent Teacher Association (P.T.A.) boards, including working on numerous committees, in two school libraries, and serving one year as PTA president.

Currently, Mrs. Lincoln is serving on the UTLA (United Teachers Los Angeles) Substitute Steering Committee, and is Co-Chapter Chairperson for the substitutes of the North Area. In addition, Mrs. Lincoln participates with the Land Use, Public Services, and Outreach committees of the Sylmar Neighborhood Council, and acts as hostess at the monthly Sylmar Neighborhood Council Board meetings. Every few weeks, Mrs. Lincoln donates platelets to the local Red Cross. By the time this is published, Mrs. Lincoln will have completed training in CERT (Community Emergency Resources). Most Wednesday evenings, Mrs. Lincoln participates at Story Salon, a storytelling venue with both professional and amateur writers. She is halfway through writing a non-fiction book, and hopes to publish in 2010.
