Kathleen A. Famestad Showcases Professional Brand through Cambridge Who's Who
Kathleen A. Famestad is a nurturing individual who raised 25 foster children with special needs
SIOUX FALLS, SD, July 21, 2009 /Coaching - Mentoring PR News/ -- Kathleen A. Famestad, Tutor, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.
With 34 years of professional experience, Ms. Famestad tutors all subjects including mathematics, science and social studies to first-grade students through adults. She also tutored the principal's children at Oscar Howe Elementary School in the summer of 2008 and supervised teachers through various colleges in 2008-2009.
Ms. Famestad took an early retirement from Laura B Anderson Elementary School in Sioux Falls two years ago. She taught first, second and third-graders and a blended class of second and third-grade students. She became involved in her profession because she was inspired by her uncle, who was a principal, and attributes her success to her parents.
In 1989, Ms. Famestad received her Master of Arts in Special Education (LD) from Augustana College. She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Psychology and Special Education in 1967, from Northern State University. She is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the International Reading Association, Alpha Delta Kappa and Who's Who Among American Teachers.
