Dionne Colleen Coy-Bailey Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
Dionne Colleen Coy-Bailey is Assistant Principal of A. Philip Randolph Campus High School
NEW YORK, NY, July 11, 2009 /Coaching - Mentoring PR News/ -- Dionne Colleen Coy-Bailey, Assistant Principal of A. Philip Randolph Campus High School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.
As assitant principal of A. Philip Randolph Campus High School, Ms. Coy-Bailey is responsible for teaching, working with classes, preparing lectures, observing and providing feedback, attending principal meetings, leading the quality review process, performing administrative and supervisory work, and coordinating with the school leadership team. Ms. Coy-Bailey was inspired to enter the teaching field by her mother, who was a school principal, her sisters, who were teachers, and one of her English instructors. She attributes her success to hard work, dedication, conscientiousness, perfectionism and team leadership abilities.
Ms. Coy-Bailey received her Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Administration from the College of Saint Rose in 2008, her Master of Arts in English from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica in 2000 and her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of the West Indies in 1993. She is a member of New York State United Teachers, the United Federation of Teachers, the American Society for Public Administration, the American Federation of Teachers and the National Education Association. In 2005 and 2006, she was recognized by Who's Who Among American Teachers and was honored with the National Honor Roll's Outstanding American Teacher in 2006. She also won an award for her creative writing skills from the Jamaica Tourist Board in 2001. Ms. Coy-Bailey aspires to become the principal of a school.
