With 16 years of professional experience and three years in her current position, Ms. Alves specializes in writing, coordinating and literacy coaching. She became involved in her profession because she was inspired by her father and she attributes her success to the support and wisdom her associate educators have given her.
In 2008, Ms. Alves received her Education Specialist Degree in Administration from the University of Missouri. She received her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Chapman University in 2003 and her Bachelor's Degree in English and Secondary Education in 1992. She has her certification in administration (K-8), in English language development (K-12), in English education (5-12), in elementary education (1-6) and in mathematical education (5-9).
Ms. Alves is a member of the National Council of Teachers of English, the International Reading Association, the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development and Who's Who Among American Teachers.
