LAFAYETTE, LA, March 12, 2009 /Coaching - Mentoring PR News/ -- Ann Alexander, Special Education Teacher for Lafayette Parish School Board, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of education.
Ms. Alexander has 34 years of professional experience and 28 years in and teaching mathematics and reading to sixth and seventh grade students with behavioral disorders. She became involved in her profession because she felt in her heart that she was meant to teach children with special needs and couldn't imagine doing anything else. Offering a never-ending willingness to ensure that all of her students reach their maximum potential, Ms. Alexander attributes her success to her thriving on challenges and her ability to easily build relationships with her students and their parents.
A member of the National Education Association, Ms. Alexander received her Bachelor of Arts and her Master of Arts from the University of Colorado. She also completed 30 credits of post graduate study at the University of Southwest Louisiana.
